Another year over, and what a doozy 2011 proved to be! It started off well, with a trip overseas – we hit Japan, Germany, Austria, Italy and Canada in the space of three weeks. I can hardly believe it was a year ago (we flew out from Christchurch on New Years Eve) as it seems like a dream now. Luckily we have plenty of photos to prove it!
Once we settled back into real life, things went a little pear-shaped, with our bunny breaking her third leg (she is all fixed now and back to her usual self) and the devastating earthquake/s in February. This was followed up with plenty of aftershocks and a general sense of unease.
In June we had reached the end of our tether, so packed up and moved to Melbourne. It was both the best and the hardest thing for us to do, but now that we are settled and quake-free, we cannot look back. All we need now is to bring our beautiful Baylee bunny over and we’ll be right.
Hopefully 2012 will bring us continued enjoyment and satisfaction in Melbourne, and the chance to have our fur-baby with us again. I am also hoping for some family visits; lots of concerts, shows and events; maybe some further study or learning experiences and for December 21st onwards to be smooth sailing rather than world ending!
