Wish You Were Here: Berlin, Germany

15-18 May

So, Berlin is huge, right?! That’s not just me? After feeling like pros wandering Europe and finding quaint little areas to spend our time, Berlin really threw us for a six! I felt like a country bumpkin, hitting the city for the first time as we tried to figure Berlin out.

Luckily, the metro system was pretty simple to navigate, making getting around so much easier. After tracking down the major tourist sites: Brandenburg Gate, TV Tower, the Victory Column and the Berlin Wall; we hired bicycles and cycled around the Tiergarten for a few hours before the rain set in! Although somewhat confusing to navigate, the garden is peaceful, beautiful and full of surprises (including an area of sunbathing semi-naked old dudes…awesome…did not need to see that!).
